what’s in a name…

well, more than we imagined! the hubs & i made the final decision on the names late saturday night. we had been making lists, jotting down every name or word that caught our interest, finally realizing that there were certain ones we kept coming back to. it was a moment for both of us with a final realization of “that’s it” … “that’s the end of our search, pencils down… exam is over!”

thrilled that we checked that off our list, everything since that moment has changed a bit for us. in an ominous way, we suddenly feel so much more connected to our future child. just figuring out what the name will be and saying the name(s) now instead of “the kid.” it definitely makes “the kid” feel more like “our kid”  :)
